but I I think I like this little line this little line I think I like this little line the silly little life hey everyone it's Ellen here and today I want to come at you with a quick little tutorial for how to play Little Life by Cordelia I first heard this song a clip of it on Tik Tok and I thought it was super sweet sounding so I went back and listened to the whole song and I actually really loved it and it's super easy to play so I thought I would put together a tutorial for you guys this is not going to follow my normal tutorial because it is a little bit more of a simple song so um with that being said we are in standard tuning and I have my Capo on the fourth fret for the original key and let's go ahead and learn those chords all right guys so you only have three chord shapes to play through this entire song and we're going to start with our C major 7 which looks like this and sounds like this from here you're going to go to your G6 chord and all you have to do is take your ring and middle finger and move them up one string each and then the last chord you need to know is our a minor 7 so you're just going to take your middle finger move it back down and then add your index finger and those are the only three chords you need to know to play through this song all right so if you need to go ahead and pause the video and practice those transitions luckily the fingering for these chords is really similar so it shouldn't be that hard we're going mostly from our C major 7 to our G6 for almost the entire song so hopefully once you can get that transition down we can move into the strumming pretty easily the actual full strumming I would recommend for this song as you can see is down up up down up up down down up so we're going to count this with a 16th note pattern so we've got 1 E and A 2 E and A 3 e and a four e and a one a e and e a four and a down up up down up up down down up down up up down up up down up and you can use this for the entire song and basically what you want to do is repeat this pattern two times per chord for the whole song so let's go ahead and put some of those chord transitions in there so you can see what it sounds like we'll start with our C major 7 and we have down down up up down down up twice then you go into your G6 same thing down up up down up up down down up twice then you go back and forth between these two chords for basically the whole song all right so if you speed it up a little bit I can show you what this sounds like for that famous little Tik Tok clip we have C major 7 I think I like this little life down up up down up up down up down up up down this little life I think I like this little Li the silly little life all right obviously that's just a portion of this song but like I said you can use the strumming pattern for the whole thing it sounds really great and by the way the reason I'm strumming this with my thumb is again because the song is so soft and like pretty sounding I think having more of a softer more muted strum by using your thumb um can help it kind of have the same feel as the original song but you could totally use a guitar pick as well so hopefully you found this tutorial helpful I know it's super different than my usual format but because it's so quick and easy I just wanted to give you a quick and easy tutorial so let me know down below if you like this style better than my usual tutorials but anyways thank you so much for watching I really hope that this helped if you want to play through the entire song with me I do have that available on my patreon page the play along as always as well as a printable guide where it has all of the lyrics and chords and strumming and everything available to print out and download so I will make sure to leave both of those links in the description box below as well as in this iard right up here um but again thank you so much for watching I hope this helped and I will see you in my next tutorial coming out really soon bye
